Free Group Intro Lesson

Ages 6–16 · All equipment provided · No experience needed

  • Ages 6–16 — free group intro lesson. Children as young as 5 may join if mature for their age.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early for a brief orientation
  • You'll be fitted with loaner protective gear at no charge
  • Coach demonstrates basic footwork and stance
  • You'll try your first blade drills with a partner
  • Q&A with the coach about programs and goals
  • Optional: watch an ongoing class in progress

Ages 16+ — Private Intro Lesson

Students 16 and older start with a private introductory lesson with Coach Boris. Contact us for pricing — we'll match you with the right session based on your experience and goals.

Yes, 100% free — no credit card, no hidden fees. Your first lesson costs nothing. All protective gear is provided. The only goal is for you to try fencing and see if it's a good fit.
We welcome children as young as 6 years old. Ages 6–8 focus on fun, coordination, and fundamentals. Older kids (9–12) can progress into competitive programs. Teens and adults are equally welcome.
No — all equipment is provided for your intro lesson. Once your child joins and trains regularly, we'll guide you on what to purchase and when. See our Equipment Buying Guide for details.
Absolutely. Fencing is statistically safer than most traditional team sports. All participants wear full protective gear — mask, jacket, gloves, and chest protection. Fencing weapons are not sharp. All sparring is supervised by qualified instructors.
Fencing is a fantastic first sport! It doesn't require prior athletic experience and is perfect for kids trying organized sports for the first time. Our coaches are skilled at working with all levels, including true beginners.
